Set of the Month
2016 Topps New Era is a nine-card set distributed nationwide at LIDS stores. Customers who purchase an MLB-licensed New Era hat at a participating LIDS store would receive a pack of four cards. Randomly inserted are Relics and autographed Relics. The design is from the 2016 Topps flagship set, but with different photographs. Each card has a New Era logo on the reverse side and is sequentially-numbered with a "New Era" prefix -- the only things differentiating these cards from the flagship set. Most of these packs "snuck out the backdoor" and were widely available on eBay within days after the promotion's start. 2019 Bowman Draft is a 200-card set released December 4th. Each Hobby only Jumbo will contain three autographs and 24 Refractors, while Super Jumbo boxes will yield five signatures and 40 Refractors. 2019 Topps Transcendent was released November 27th. Only 100 sets were produced. Each factory set, which is packaged in a wooden case contains the following:
2019 Panini Flawless is an 65-card set released November 20th. Each ten-card box will yield one jewel-encrusted base card or parallel, two game-used cards, and seven autographs. 2019 Topps Gallery came out the week of November 18th. Once again, this product is exclusive to Walmart stores. 2019 Topps High Tek was released on November 13th, 2019. As usual, all cards are printed on acetate with multiple background pattern parallels. The 2019 edition reverted back to a traditional pack format, with each six-card pack yielding three base cards, two parallels, and an autograph. 2019 Panini Prizm Draft Picks was released November 6th, 2019. It is a 100-card set of players selected in the 2019 MLB Draft. Since Panini does not have an MLB Properties license, all players are depicted in either their high school, college, or USA Baseball uniform. Each pack will contain four base cards, three Prizm parallels, and one autograph. 2019 Topps Dynasty was released November 6th -- about a month earlier than last year. As usual, each box will contain an encased autographed patch card serial-numbered to ten or fewer. 2019 Triple Threads is a 100-card set released October 23rd -- Two weeks earlier than the previous year. Each seven-card Hobby pack will contain three base cards, two parallels, one triple Relic card serial-numbered to 36 copies or fewer, and an autograph or autographed relic serial-numbered to 99 copies or fewer. 2019 Panini Contenders Draft Picks is a 50-card set focusing on prospects and draft picks, released October 2nd. Most players are depicted in their college uniforms, and is licensed by The Collegiate Licensing Company. The product does NOT have any active Major League players and as such, is not licensed by the MLB Players Association (even though Panini does have an MLBPA license). Each pack contains an autograph. 2019 Topps Update was released October 16th. 2019 National Treasures was released by Panini September 25th. As usual, every card is autographed and/or a memorabilia card serial-numbered to 99 copies or fewer. Each eight-card box will contain one booklet card. 2019 Topps Heritage Minor League is a 225-card set released September 25th. Each 18-pack Hobby box will yield one relic and one autograph. 2019 Bowman Chrome was released September 18th with a 100-card base set supplemented by a 100-card Prospects set. Each 12-pack Hobby box will yield a pair of autographs. For the third consecutive year, HTA Choice boxes are available which contain three autographs and nothing else. 2019 Topps Luminaries was released September 4th. Each box contains one card, an autograph serial-numbered to 15 copies or fewer. 2019 Topps Five Star was released August 28th -- two months earlier than last year's set. All cards are autographed, and each box will contain two. 2019 Topps Fire is a 200-card set released exclusively to Target outlets, to little advanced notice, the week of August 24th. 2019 Panini Chronicles is a 50-card set released August 24th. As with the previous year's product, Chronicles features an original base set along with inserts based off other Panini brands. Each six-pack Hobby box will contain three autographs and a game-used memorabilia card. 2019 Topps Archives was released the week of August 21th. The base set is 330 cards featuring designs from the 1958, 1975, and 1993 Topps sets. 2019 Bowman Sterling is a 50-card set supplemented by a 50-card "Prospects" set, released August 14th. This is the first Bowman Sterling set in five years, as it replaces Bowman High Tek on the calendar. As with previous Bowman Sterling sets, each pack will contain an autograph. The 225-card Heritage High Number Series was released August 14th, with each Hobby box yielding a relic, an autograph, or an autographed relic. 2019 Topps Tribute was released August 7th -- pushed back from its normal pre-season release. As usual, each three-card pack will include either an autograph or a relic. 2019 Topps Chrome was released July 31st. Each Hobby box will yield two autographs while each Jumbo box will have five autos. |
