These three Barry Bonds Relic cards were made in the anticipation of Bonds becoming the first player in Major League history to hit 500 career home runs and steal 500 career bases.  Bonds had come into the 2002 season with 567 homers and 484 stolen bases -- so it was plausible that Bonds would achieve this career milestone in 2002.
Although Bonds would hit his 600th homer in 2002, he did not steal his 500th base until June of 2003.
