For one year, Topps issued a 2 1/4" X 3 1/8" parallel of their main Baseball set. The set was regionally test marketed with Michigan and the Pacific Coast among the two areas to receive this issue -- although minis were reportedly found in other areas. It is unclear why Topps issued this product, or if it was meant to have been an annual release.
These cards were issued in ten-card packs which cost 15 cents and were packed 36 to a box.

The 1975 O-Pee-Chee baseball set was produced for the Canadian market and for the third consecutive year it was a full 660-card parallel of the Topps base set. The only distinctions between the Topps and OPC sets are the bilingual text and the O-Pee-Chee copyright on the backs. Each OPC waxbox contained 48 packs of eight cards and sold for ten Canadian cents.

An uncut sheet of all 24 team checklists was available by sending 40 cents plus one wrapper to Topps. The sheet measures 10 1/2" X 20 1/8" and, when cut, each card measures the standard size. These cards appear to have been printed on a lighted shade of cardstock.
Curiously, the reverse side of each uncut sheet card contains the same mail-in offer as the checklists inserted into packs.

Description
1975 Topps is a 660-card set. Considered by many to be one of the classic card sets of the era, the design was radically different in appearance from sets of the preceding years. The most prominent change was the use of a two-color frame surrounding the picture area rather than a single, subdued color. A facsimile autograph appears on the picture, and the backs are printed in red and green on gray cardstock.
Cards 189-212 depict the MVP's of both leagues from 1951 through 1974. The first seven cards (1-7) feature players (listed in alphabetical order) breaking records or achieving milestones during the previous season. Cards 306-313 picture league leaders in various statistical categories. Cards 459-466 depict the results of post-season action. Team cards feature a checklist back for players on that team and show a small inset photo of the manager on the front. The following players' regular issue cards are explicitly denoted as All-Stars, 1, 50, 80, 140, 170, 180, 260, 320, 350, 390, 400, 420, 440, 470, 530, 570, and 600.
This set is quite popular with collectors, at least in part due to the fact that the Rookie Cards of George Brett, Gary Carter, Keith Hernandez, Fred Lynn, Jim Rice and Robin Yount are all in the set.
Herb Washington (card #407) is listed as a "Pinch Runner" on his card. In two seasons, the former track star stole 31 bases and scored 33 runs; all without a single career at-bat or playing a single inning in the field.

Parallels
Minis
For one year, Topps issued a 2 1/4" X 3 1/8" parallel of their main Baseball set. The set was regionally test marketed with Michigan and the Pacific Coast among the two areas to receive this issue -- although minis were reportedly found in other areas. It is unclear why Topps issued this product, or if it was meant to have been an annual release.
These cards were issued in ten-card packs which cost 15 cents and were packed 36 to a box.
O-Pee-Chee
The 1975 O-Pee-Chee baseball set was produced for the Canadian market and for the third consecutive year it was a full 660-card parallel of the Topps base set. The only distinctions between the Topps and OPC sets are the bilingual text and the O-Pee-Chee copyright on the backs. Each OPC waxbox contained 48 packs of eight cards and sold for ten Canadian cents.
Team Checklist Uncut Sheet
An uncut sheet of all 24 team checklists was available by sending 40 cents plus one wrapper to Topps. The sheet measures 10 1/2" X 20 1/8" and, when cut, each card measures the standard size. These cards appear to have been printed on a lighted shade of cardstock.
Curiously, the reverse side of each uncut sheet card contains the same mail-in offer as the checklists inserted into packs.
