Set of the Month
1989 Donruss All-Stars is a 64-card set. This would be the final year for the annual Donruss All-Star set, and as with previous iterations of this set, the design is very similar to the regular 1989 Donruss set. The players chosen for the set are essentially the participants at the previous year's All-Star Game. Each pack contained one "Pop-Up" insert and one Warren Spahn puzzle piece. Just Released
2020 Donruss is a 264-card set released by Panini America on March 4th. Each Hobby box will yield three autographs/game-used cards. 2020 Topps Heritage is a 500-card set released February 26th. The last 100 cards are short-printed. In keeping with the brand's aesthetic, the design is based on the 1971 Topps set. Each Hobby box will, as usual, yield a relic, an autograph or an autographed relic. 2020 Topps is a 700-card set released in two equal series of 350 cards. Series One was issued the week of February 5th, 2020 while the second series will come out in June. As usual, each 24-pack Hobby box will yield either an autograph or a Relic card while Hobby-exclusive jumbo boxes will yield an autograph, a game-used Relic, and a manufactured "relic." 2019 Bowman's Best was released December 18th and was, as recent established tradition, the final product released by Topps for the year. The base set consists of 70 cards supplemented by a 30-card "Top Prospects" subset. Each pack will yield one Refractor parallel, and each 12-pack Hobby box will have four autographs and an Atomic Refractor. 2019 Bowman Draft is a 200-card set released December 4th. Each Hobby only Jumbo will contain three autographs and 24 Refractors, while Super Jumbo boxes will yield five signatures and 40 Refractors. 2019 Panini Elite Extra Edition was released December 4th. As usual, the product focuses on recent draft picks and prospects, and can be seen as Panini's answer to Bowman Draft. In fact, the 2019 editions of both products were released the same day. Each base card is serial-numbered to 999 copies. Each five-pack Hobby box will yield seven serial-numbered parallels, two game-used memorabilia cards, and eight autographs. 2019 Topps Transcendent was released November 27th. Only 100 sets were produced. Each factory set, which is packaged in a wooden case contains the following:
2019 Panini Flawless is an 65-card set released November 20th. Each ten-card box will yield one jewel-encrusted base card or parallel, two game-used cards, and seven autographs. 2019 Topps Gallery came out the week of November 18th. Once again, this product is exclusive to Walmart stores. 2019 Topps High Tek was released on November 13th, 2019. As usual, all cards are printed on acetate with multiple background pattern parallels. The 2019 edition reverted back to a traditional pack format, with each six-card pack yielding three base cards, two parallels, and an autograph. 2019 Panini Prizm Draft Picks was released November 6th, 2019. It is a 100-card set of players selected in the 2019 MLB Draft. Since Panini does not have an MLB Properties license, all players are depicted in either their high school, college, or USA Baseball uniform. Each pack will contain four base cards, three Prizm parallels, and one autograph. 2019 Topps Dynasty was released November 6th -- about a month earlier than last year. As usual, each box will contain an encased autographed patch card serial-numbered to ten or fewer. 2019 Triple Threads is a 100-card set released October 23rd -- Two weeks earlier than the previous year. Each seven-card Hobby pack will contain three base cards, two parallels, one triple Relic card serial-numbered to 36 copies or fewer, and an autograph or autographed relic serial-numbered to 99 copies or fewer. 2019 Panini Contenders Draft Picks is a 50-card set focusing on prospects and draft picks, released October 2nd. Most players are depicted in their college uniforms, and is licensed by The Collegiate Licensing Company. The product does NOT have any active Major League players and as such, is not licensed by the MLB Players Association (even though Panini does have an MLBPA license). Each pack contains an autograph. 2019 Topps Update was released October 16th. 2019 National Treasures was released by Panini September 25th. As usual, every card is autographed and/or a memorabilia card serial-numbered to 99 copies or fewer. Each eight-card box will contain one booklet card. 2019 Topps Heritage Minor League is a 225-card set released September 25th. Each 18-pack Hobby box will yield one relic and one autograph. 2019 Bowman Chrome was released September 18th with a 100-card base set supplemented by a 100-card Prospects set. Each 12-pack Hobby box will yield a pair of autographs. For the third consecutive year, HTA Choice boxes are available which contain three autographs and nothing else. 2019 Topps Luminaries was released September 4th. Each box contains one card, an autograph serial-numbered to 15 copies or fewer. 2019 Topps Five Star was released August 28th -- two months earlier than last year's set. All cards are autographed, and each box will contain two. 2019 Topps Fire is a 200-card set released exclusively to Target outlets, to little advanced notice, the week of August 24th. |
