National, The: (NSCC) The National Sports Collectors Convention, an annual card show that has grown from a small hotel ballroom card show to the premiere card show/trade show/mega-event it is today. First staged in 1980, The National rotates venues on a yearly basis. The 2011 edition will take place in Rosemont, Ill.

The National may have reached its apex in 1991, when 100,000 collectors attended the 12th National in Anaheim, California. By comparison, the 1999 National in Atlanta drew a crowd of only 25,000. The National's organizers have a website which can be reached at: nsccshow.com
