Description

1995 Select Certified is a 135-card, "super-premium" set, and was released exclusively to Hobby outlets only in November 1995. Designed to compete with Topps' Finest brand, the cards are made with 24-point metallic stock and are double laminated.

Rookie Cards in this set include Bobby Higginson and Hideo Nomo. Card number 18 was never printed; Cal Ripken is featured on a special card numbered 2131, which is included in the complete set of 135.

Based on announced production figures, 63,210 20-pack waxboxes were produced.

Each card is available in a Mirror Gold parallel. Each card has a gold-colored holographic foil layer which, combined with the metallic cardstock of the fronts, gives it the appearance of a Finest Refractor.

This 20-card, all-Dufex, set was randomly inserted into packs and limited (but not serial-numbered) to 1975 copies. Each card has the statement "1 of 1,975" on the back.

A special parallel version was also produced as box toppers. The box toppers have a different Dufex pattern, and were seeded at the rate of 1:3.5/boxes. Each box topper card is limited (but not serial-numbered) to 903 copies.
