Set of the Month

1995 Topps Embossed (a.k.a. "t-MB") is a 140 card set released in the Summer of 1995. The player's photo on both sides of the card is embossed, hence the name. Cards 97-120 make up an Award Winners subset.

2023 Topps Chrome Update is a 220-card set released in November 14th. As with previous iterations of this product, it is an abbreviated chromium-stock rendition of the Topps Update set. For the first time since 2005, Chrome Update was given a traditional Hobby-style release. (No more Mega Boxes)

2023 Topps Definitive Collection was released November 10th. The product was originally intended for release on topps.com November 8th and sold via a Dutch auction. The Dutch auction was cancelled and made available at a fixed price two days later.

An all "hit" product, each eight-card box will yield six on-card autographs and two Relics.

2023 Panini Chronicles is a 50-card set released November 8th. As with previous iterations of this product, Chronicles features an original base set along with inserts based off other Panini brands. As with other 2023 Panini brands, it is no longer licensed by the MLBPA, and as such features retired players and prospects.

Each six-pack Hobby box will contain three autographs and a game-used memorabilia card.

2023 Topps Archives is a 300-card set released the week of November 8th. For the first time in years, there are no short-prints in the base set.

New for 2023 are Hobby Collector's Boxes which are packaged in a lunchbox (not unlike 1999 Upper Deck Retro).

Each 24-pack Hobby box will continue to yield two autographs.

2023 Bowman Sterling is a 50-card set supplemented by a 50-card "Prospects" set, released November 3rd. As with previous Bowman Sterling sets, each pack will contain an autograph.

2023 Topps Tier One was released October 25th. As usual, all cards are either autographs or relics and there is no base set in the traditional sense. Each three-card box will contain two autographs and a relic.

2023 Topps Gilded Collection is a 168-card Chrome stock set, released October 18th. The first 150 base cards are serial-numbered to 99 copies with the remaining 18 part of the Cast in Gold subset, each serial-numbered to 199 copies. Each five card box will yield two autographs.

2023 Topps Pro Debut is a 200-card Minor League set released October 18th. Each 24-pack Hobby box will yield four autographs.

2023 Bowman Platinum is a 102-card set supplemented by a 98-card Top Prospects insert set, released October 13th. As usual, Bowman Platinum was distributed primarily to Walmart stores; however, boxes were also available on topps.com.

2023 Select was released October 11th. As with the previous year's product, all cards are printed on chromium stock. The 300-card base set is fractured into three levels.

Each 12-pack Hobby box will yield seven Prizm parallels, five inserts, two autographs, and two game-used cards.

2023 Topps Update is a 330-card set released October 11th. Hobby boxes have only 20 packs of twelve cards. They were originally solicited as having fourteen cards in a pack and 24 packs in a box.

2023 Topps Allen & Ginter is a 400-card set, released the week of September 22nd. As usual, each 24-pack Hobby box will include three of the following: Autographs, Relics, Rip Cards, or A&G Originals.

2023 Bowman Chrome was released September 13th with a 100-card base set supplemented by a 100-card Prospects set. Each 12-pack Hobby box will yield a pair of autographs.

For the fifth consecutive year, HTA Choice boxes are available which contain three autographs and nothing else.

2023 Panini Immaculate was released September 6th. All cards in the product are either autographs or game-used cards. Each six-card box is expected to yield four autographs and two game-used cards.

2023 Topps Cosmic Chrome is a 200-card set released August 30th. Each 20-pack Hobby box will contain four Refractors and eleven inserts. Every third box will yield an autograph.

2023 Topps Pristine is a 300-card released August 23th. Each ten-card pack has three mini packs. One mini pack will contain seven base cards/Refractors, the second will have either two inserts or an Autographed Relic, while the third will yield an encased card.

2022 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary is a 500-card set, released August 9th, 2023. All cards are on chrome stock and are done in the style of the 1953 Topps set.

Each 24-pack Hobby box will yield one autograph and seven Refractors.

2023 Topps Chrome was released July 26th. Each Hobby box will yield one autograph (one less than the previous year's product,)) eight inserts and 12 Refractors while each Jumbo box will have three autos -- two fewer than last year -- and twelve Refractors.
