Description

The 1990 Topps Big set contains 330 over-sized cards. The cards measure 2 5/8" by 3 3/4". It was the second and last issue of this product. The card front is glossy with a white border. The card is vertically orientated and features two color player photos. One photo is an action shot, while the other is a larger head shot of the player. The card reverse is also vertically oriented but unfinished. The back features player personal stats, 1989 and life time player stats. There is also a small cartoon illustrating some player trivia.

The set was issued in 3 series of 110 cards each. It is believed that the third series was released in far lesser quantities. The color scheme was different for each series. Series 1 has a predominately blue background, Series 2 is predominately red, while Series 3 is yellow.

The set contains an early Sammy Sosa card which is the most valuable card in the set.

Some cards contain different printing codes, either C* or D* on the back lower left corner.
