National, The: (NSCC) The National Sports Collectors Convention, an annual card show that has grown from a small hotel ballroom card show to the premiere card show/trade show/mega-event it is today. First staged in 1980, The National rotates venues on a yearly basis.
The National may have reached its apex in 1991, when 100,000 collectors attended the 12th National in Anaheim, California. By comparison, the 1999 National in Atlanta drew a crowd of only 25,000. More information can be found at the National's organizers have a web site: nsccshow.com
